Student Loan - Living Costs

If you are not eligible for a student allowance, you may be eligible for Student Loan living costs. The living costs part of a Student Loan can help with your weekly expenses if you don't qualify for a Student Allowance, or don't qualify for the full amount of Student Allowance.

Remember that you have to pay back the Student Loan when you are in employment, so only borrow what you need.

Student Loan - Course Related Costs

The course-related costs part of a Student Loan helps with costs related to your study. For example, stationery, books, computer equipment, travel.

You can apply for your course-related costs online using MyStudyLink. You need to apply for your Student Loan first before you can apply for the course-related costs component. Course-related costs are paid directly to your bank account.

Ask at our administration office for a list of course related costs.

Student Loan Performance Calculator

Use this calculator on the StudyLink website to work out if you have passed at least half of your total EFTS. This measures your performance and eligility for a Student Loan.
